The first international CME on Research Methodology and communication was organized and conducted at USM-KLE, International Medical Programme, Belagavi on Saturday 19th November 2016.
Datuk Professor Dr. Asma Ismail Vice Chancellor of University Sains Malaysia inaugurated the CME and highlighted in her key note address that, High Tech, High Touch and Blue Ocean approach is need for research. The basic needs of society should be met by communicating with them which can provide us research question. The aspects, in which Western countries are not interested in, should be focused to make ourselves 20 years ahead of them. The hot topics of basic society problems namely vaccines, rapid diagnostic techniques of infectious diseases should be vital areas of research. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) can be performed without electricity by using solar energy. These kinds of innovations are the source of patents. Thus research, innovations, entrepreneur mindset of researchers is most needed.
DR H.B. Rajasekhar, Director USM-KLE, IMP Belagavi, in his welcome address said that, how USM-KLE IMP is marching towards academic achievements, progress in research activities and publications.
Dr. B.S. Kodkany, Dr. P.F Kotur, Dr. P. A Patil, Dr. Subarna Roy, Dr. Mubashir Angolkar, Dr. Chandra Metgud, Dr. S.B. Javali were resource persons and delivered various lectures in CME. More than 150 delegates participated in the CME
