World Heart Day 2014

World Heart Day is celebrated each year on 29th September in raising awareness on heart disease and stroke, reaching almost 2 billion people in over 120 countries through organised events and media outreach. Now in its 15th year, World Heart Day provides a unique opportunity to position cardiovascular disease (CVD) at the heart of global priorities – in health and beyond.
This World Heart Day in Belgaum was organized by KLE Society. Arranged an awareness walk from Rani Chennama Circle to KLE Lingraj College participated by people all around Belgaum and nearly 100 students from our USM-KLE Campus. Our focus is on creating heart-healthy environments. By ensuring that people are able to make heart-healthy choices wherever they live, work and play, World Heart Day 2014 encourages us all to reduce our cardiovascular risk, and promotes a heart-healthy planet for those around us.
